The Gathering Place Senior Center was established in 2013 as a program of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. A demographic study in the Canfield area discovered that while the senior citizen community was growing at a fast rate, there was no programs in Canfield specifically directed to senior citizens.


The Gathering Place Senior Center is organized in the State of Ohio as a non-profit corporation and supervised by a five member Advisory Board. The board meets once a month. The by-laws and constitution of The Gathering Place Senior Center are filed with the State of Ohio.
